K2Dance Wins ‘Outstanding Performing Arts’ at the WA Local and Regional Business Awards

K2Dance is delighted to have been named the winner of the 2026 Perth & Regions Local Business Award for Outstanding Performing Arts, presented at the Novotel Perth Langley on Wednesday 30 September.

Receiving this recognition among an exceptional group of performing arts businesses and dance studios was an immense honour. The calibre of the finalists reflected the talent, dedication and creativity within Western Australia’s performing arts community.

Among the finalists were:

Diamond Dance — Joondalup
The Dance Workshop — North Perth
House of Honey — West Perth
Universal Dance — Como
Perth Dance Centre
Silhouette Dance Studio — Shenton Park
Valerie Heston School of Dance — Bibra Lake
Perth School of Ballet
Vogue Performers
Cavanagh School of Irish Dance — Mount Hawthorn
Chase Dance — Morley
Gilkison’s Dance Studio — Perth

We warmly congratulate every finalist on their achievements and the opportunities they create for dancers and performers. To be recognised alongside these businesses makes this award particularly meaningful.

For K2Dance Directors Kristal Twight and Kristin Keighery, this achievement marks a special milestone as the studio celebrates 15 years of dance, education and community.

From its beginnings, K2Dance has championed a non-competitive approach to dance education, creating an environment where dancers can develop strong technique, explore their creativity and build confidence. Today, that vision brings together more than 1,500 dancers and a passionate team of approximately 40 staff, with opportunities extending from a child’s first dance class to elite training and professional performance.

This award belongs to our entire K2Dance community. Our exceptional teachers and staff bring passion, creativity and care to their work every day, while our dancers and families continue to support and believe in our vision. Their collective contribution has made K2Dance the community it is today.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our staff, dancers and families for sharing this journey with us. To receive this recognition after 15 years is a moment we will treasure—and an achievement we are proud to celebrate together.
