Teaching Staff

Erin started dancing at the age of 4 in singing and dancing classes at the Johnny Young Talent School. She was part of the performance troupe until she was 11, where she had the opportunity to perform at many events across Perth. At 5 Erin started classical ballet training at The West Australian Conservatoire of Classical Ballet. She later moved to Katherine Mantle Performing Arts Academy to complete more technical training in all dance styles including classical ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and contemporary. Throughout her training, she completed all her exams up to and including the Royal Academy of Dance Advanced One. Erin was also a member of the Australian Performing Arts Network (APAN) for many years and had the privilege of working with many industry professionals and choreographers including Todd McKenny, Rachel Beck, Matt Papa and Matthew Gode. She also performed on Telethon and for the City of Perth in their Christmas Nativity and was cast in APAN’s productions of Fame and Grease. During this time, she also competed in gymnastics at the national level with Contemporary Gymnastics Academy and traveled to Singapore for an international training camp. During high school, Erin completed the Propel dance course in ballet and contemporary at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. She also continued her singing training with weekly private and group singing lessons. Erin has also been fortunate enough to have competed in many local and interstate competitions for both singing and dancing where she found great success. As well as competitions Erin was also part of many community and professional theatre shows across Perth.

In 2020 Erin moved to Ballarat, Victoria, to complete her Bachelor of Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) at Federation University Australia. Throughout her time there she had the opportunity to work with many industry professionals including Melanie Beddie, Jillian Smith, Eden Reed, Alister Smith, Nell Feeney and Ross Hall. She also had the privilege of being named Dance Captain in her second-year musical as well as the Graduating class of 2022’s production of Into The Woods. This course allowed Erin to further refine her skills in singing, acting and dancing as well as learn new skills including screen acting and stage combat.

Erin danced at K2 in 2013, taking classes in Jazz, Contemporary and Tap and was so grateful to be welcomed back in 2023 as a teacher. “The kindness and support I experienced at K2 when I was younger is something that has stuck with me ever since. When I moved back home, I knew I wanted to reach out because there is just something about the studio and the directors Kristen and Kristal that makes me so excited to go to work every day and share my love for performance with so many students.”
